A permanent charitable trust of Lions Club of Bangalore Airport City, Lions Club international, Dist 317-E.

Lions Airport city Old Age Home is an activity of Bangalore Airport city Lions Service Trust, The basic concept of the old age home is to provide simple and peaceful living atmosphere to the senior citizens.


The Old Age home was inaugurated by H.H.Balagangadharanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, on 16th June 2008. It was started with 5 members, now, after completing 6th year, ahead to 7th year, we have 57 inmates. (Including 17 elders who requires nursing assistants).

The Old Age Home is located at Devarachikkanahalli, behind IIM-B in between Hosur and Bannerghatta road. This Old Age Home is fully managed by the club and the trust. This institution having three floors has 11 double bedrooms in each floor with dormitory facilities at ground floor for 10 male and 10 female inmates.

The rooms have been provided with attached bathrooms and solar heated water supply, steel almirahs and foam mattress bed. Lift and diesel generator facility is also provided. The dining room accommodates 30 persons at a time and a modern kitchen is equipped with deep freezer and refrigerator.


The lecture hall accommodates 50 persons and is used to conduct lecture and meetings. The hall is also used to train and educate the local community in social activities and yoga. Lectures are held for adolescent girls to establish them for better understanding of themselves. At present this 33 rooms Old Age Home has 59 inmates, 30 female and 20 male and 16 old people are under supportive care of the Old Age Home staff.
